Leland MacHen, a Mathews High School graduate, is the 2010 Faber Scholarship award winner. Leland will be matriculating at Drexel University in the fall. He is an incredibly gifted young man who was chosen from a field of impressive applicants from ten counties and twelve different high schools.
The Faber Scholarship is one of the most competitive in our area and certainly one of the more prestigious. Congratulations to Leland and our sincere best wishes to each of our contestants.
